Five elements are important on a bow to determine the product quality as well as guarantee the machine reliability :
- Shape : carbon fiber pre-shaped bows are commonly used (helping also the installation and reducing internal constraints in the fibers themselves)
- Length : bows’ balloon and length are reduced to the minimum
- Guiding elements : ceramic eyelet, grooved shape, tube, … are chosen according to each product
- Wear strip materials : materials hardness and slippery are continuously improved
- Weight : reduced in order to increase bearings lifetime as well as to increase the bow rotation speed (and consequently production speed)
